About this playlist

Pop-punks Relient K get nervy on the shout-alongs "Boomerang" and "Don't Blink" this week, while Hawthorne Heights unveil a concept album with their stickiest melodies ever, as gleaned from "Darkside" and "Golden Parachutes." Editors' arena-goth on "Sugar" and "A Ton of Love" is best suited for a haunted old theater, while Far East Movement's meeting with Riff Raff on "The Illest" is pure neon, with blobs of synth-sax melted like candle wax. Moby's new single, "A Case for Shame," makes a run at James Blake's ghostly voiced ambiance, while Franz Ferdinand return demanding "Right Action" on the happiest- (and funkiest-) sounding tune of their career. All these and more in this week's new release sampler.
