About this playlist

This week brings a remix of one of 2012's most acclaimed cuts, Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe," made even slinkier with additional harmonies from Scottish chanteuse Emeli Sande, while Eagles classics such as "Already Gone" and "The Best of My Love" are now available on Napster. In new releases, Mavis Staples collaborates with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy on the country-gospel of, "Woke Up This Morning (With My Mind on Jesus)," and George Clinton's "Can You Get to That" (the latter is incidentally, the same song Sleigh Bells sampled for their own summer blast "Rill Rill"). The orchestral metal of Skillet's "Not Gonna Die" bridges Disturbed and Evanesence at their peak. Shapeshifting MC Wale opens up new facets of his sound with Cee-Lo Green on the meta-soul of "Gullible" and club pop with Rihanna on the creaky "Bad" remix. India.Arie rejoins the [SongVersation] with the airy grooves of ["Cocoa Butter"] and ["One"] from her first album in four years. All this and more in this week's roundup.
