Fred Falke's Greatest Remixes

About this playlist

Like his former production partner Alan Braxe, Fred Falke represents the second wave of the famous "French touch." He started out, around the turn of the millennium, making loopy filter disco with an evident debt to Daft Punk, but by 2004's "Rubicon," a collaboration with Braxe, Falke was moving into far poppier terrain, marked by sizzling, '80s-influenced keyboards -- think Van Halen's "Jump" as filtered through Italo disco.

Better known as a remixer, Falke has gone on to put a golden glow on everyone from Kelis to Hot Chip. His knack for iron-clad club beats and coked-up synth glimmer -- this is a guy who clearly logged his time listening to Fleetwood Mac -- has made him the go-to guy for dance pop remixes across the musical spectrum.
