Breathe in Breathe Out
Label: Fair Trade/Columbia
After more than two and a half years between albums, anticipation for The Afters' fourth studio project was high. Fortunately, the Texas-born foursome lives up to expectations with Life Is Beautiful. When it comes to themes, the album has similarities to the 1997 Oscar-winning film of the same name. It's not that life doesn't have its dark moments, but that beauty can be found anywhere, even in the pain. To help set that idea to music, the band again turned to producer Dan Muckala (Backstreet Boys, Chris Tomlin). The result is radio-friendly pop-rock like you hear in "Every Good Thing."
