Throw It All Away
Though Staind comes quick on the heels of Aaron Lewis' country-crooner album, don't expect the band's seventh full-length to come fried in Nashville twang. Quite the opposite, actually. It's the heaviest thing they've released in many a moon. The opener "Eyes Wide Open" sets the stage. Staind is angry and pissed, so much so they've tossed a hearty helping of metalcore aggression into the mix. The album reaches its peak with "Wannabe," the obligatory post-grunge anthem about authenticity. What really pushes this jam over the top is the cameo from Snoop Dogg. Never took him for a Staind fan.
