This vocal ensemble's first album won a Grammy, and group member Caroline Shaw's "Partita for 8 Voices" won the Pulitzer for composition. What's on the follow-up? More pieces from composers who are well-known in Brooklyn's post-minimalist scene. (Missy Mazzoli's gently rocking "Vesper Sparrow" is a highlight.) As on the debut, the Teeth disperse a multi-movement piece -- Wally Gunn's voice-and-percussion piece "The Ascendant" -- throughout the album (Tracks 2, 5 and 9). It's one of the more impressive works on a strong set, and not just because of Gunn's variety-promoting instrumentation.
