Worshipped by Guitar World gearheads in part because they have three guitar players, this Maryland djent-metal team rang in 2015 with a bang: Two albums named Juggernaut on the same day! This first volume has its pained share of good-cop/bad-cop screamo (often atop harmolodic Rush-prog zig-zagging), and lots of soundtrack-to-videogame-to-cocktail-jazz atmospherics. Most unexpected moment might come halfway into "MK Ultra," when lead axe wizard Misha Mansoor abruptly shifts from metalcore into tasty jamgrass fusion. His tone starting "22 Faces" and "Four Lights," meanwhile, digs into the dirt.
