With '96's Life In General, Christian Punks MXPX gained a respectable following among Green Day and Blink 182 fans. People turned off by other Punk bands' dire, sneering outlook on life found MXPX's positive songs a refreshing change. It helped too that the band really nailed the catchy two-and-half-minute pop song on this release.
