Old Habits Die Hard
Label: Rhino Atlantic
Covering the breadth of Mick Jagger's solo career, this best-of is highlighted by "Too Many Cooks," a cut from 1973 produced for Mick by John Lennon, with Al Kooper, Jack Bruce and Harry Nilsson all providing support. Also included is the once difficult to locate "Memo from Turner," a great lost Stones song that appeared in Performance, a movie featuring Jagger getting upstaged by Anita Pallenberg's hotness. Later cuts "Don't Tear Me Up," Jagger's biggest hit, from 1992, and "Charmed Life," also recorded in '92 but never released, fill out the album.
