Label: Playing In Traffic
Revelation finds Los Lonely Boys exploring new musical directions: a little ska on "Give a Little More," a bit of keys-driven power pop on "There's Always Tomorrow," and some conjunto accordion on "Blame It on Love." It's a mostly very pleasant experiment (not to mention a gentle one -- nothing here is too experimental). Hey, even super-sappy slow jams (like the treacly lyric-stuffed "The Greatest Ever") sound sweet in these Boys' hands. But you'll still relish the return to their home-base sound with tracks like the barn-burning blues rocker "Rule the World."
