It's The Morning
Label: OCD International
This feels like more of a slapdash cash-in on the Dr. Octagon name than a true return. Kool Keith's verses are sliced and looped to the point where there's no real flow, much less thematic consistency, and songs such as "Al Green" and "Dr. Octagon" contain only a handful of lyrics. It's as if Keith is on the album just to complement the production, which is messy and cluttered, banking on odd time signatures, unnatural pivots and horrible musical puns. There are a lot of good Kool Keith albums out there, but this is not one.
