Just A Boy
Label: Casablanca Records
If you keep your mind open, this is really a rather spectacular Kiss album. It finds the band crafting their own epic concept album that's part Tommy and part Superman, but mostly inspired by Gene Simmons' own bumpy journey from refugee to high-wattage rock star. Daring to craft a concept album a full decade after the form had reached its apex, this album really showcases their vocal skills without any of their usual comic touches, containing absolutely no references to bosomy women and late nights.
