We Gotta Go

Can you believe that there are still people who think that "glam rock" refers to the spandexed Sunset Strip pop metal scene of Hollywood in the 1980s? KISS may be partially to blame for this, and the fact that Ace Frehley covered Hello's "New York Groove" in 1978 may have further confounded things. This collection of Hello's platform boot-stomping glitter rock spans the band's 1972-1977 heyday. The aforementioned "New York Groove" is indeed a standout, but bona fide hits like "Another School Day" and "C'mon" truly capture the teenage lust for life that made British glam a celebrated emotion.
