At first, it sounds like Blade Runner will be all over this album. The opening track introduces a space age world (with the requisite icy female speaker), but few of the songs live up to the weirdness signaled at the output. "Carmina Burana" excerpts lend weight (deserved or not) to the proceedings, and each track enjoys a deliberate, semi-momentous pacing.
