Made In Brazil
Label: Concord Jazz
Made in Brazil is the first album that the noted New York-based jazz pianist and singer has recorded in her native Sao Paulo in almost four decades. This is a sensual, playful record that palpitates with tropical heat and Elias' joy of working with Brazilian musicians in the studio. She interprets classics "Waters of March" and "Aquarela do Brasil," and includes six of her own compositions inspired by her music-rich homeland.
