Dwele's strength and weakness is the way he settles into one harmonic range, and then twists and elongates it like a '60s soul-jazz vocalist. He's complemented by a host of musicians, and guest vocalists like Monica Blaire ("Swank") and Raheem DeVaughn ("What You Gotta Do"), but he often sounds as if he's sitting alone at his keyboard. Greater Than One's lack of sonic diversity can make it seem like one long track. It's best consumed in small doses so you can appreciate great numbers like "Going Leaving," the title track and "Special."
