The Magnificient / Beat Generation
Label: Rapster Records
There are some great guest spots here from Jill Scott, J-Live and Baby Black, in particular J-Live's "Break It Down," where the Brooklyn emcee's knotty flow and cerebral lyrics are paired with Jeff's echoing, aquatic beats. It's also one of the few tracks were the Jazzy one exhibits his mastery of turntable scratches. Generally, the beats are the focus, and Jeff utilizes Kev Brown's smooth soul-hop sound as well as Jay Dee's stuttering brand of neo-soul. The mix goes down real easy.
