With Reveille, Deerhoof plotted a course between the wind-milling heroics of the Who's mod years and the angular chaos of no wave, then threw in some cutesy indie pop to either scare off the purists or attract better looking fans, who knows. One of the best records to come out of the whole noise wave scene.
