I Used To Dance With My Daddy
Label: Nettwerk Records
What to make of Datarock? "Computer Camp Love" is a fabulous Grease-referencing dance-rock nerd fest, whereas "Fa-Fa-Fa" sounds like Haircut 100 and Guster if they took rhythm tips from the Talking Heads. This Norwegian duo are decidedly in Klaxons and CSS territory, with gay-sex lyrics that take on the best the Scissor Sisters could manage, and it's a testament to the quality of the music that they can just about get away with their little-boy sniggering on tracks like "Night Flight to Uranus."
