These 10 skeletons from Danzig’s closet are all covers, starting with wolf-howled themes to late ‘60s biker B-movies Devil’s Angels and Satan’s Sadists. The former, first done by Davie Allen and the Arrows, is the most gothabilly item here, though Danzig hiccups his way through a late ‘60s Elvis tune as well. Garage punkers by the Litter and Troggs get a grimy guitar tone; Danzig slows Aerosmith’s “Lord Of The Thighs,” adds inadvertent J.J. Cale “Cocaine” to Sabbath’s “N.I.B.,” and makes ZZ Top’s ‘80s leather-bar ballad “Rough Boy” appropriately creepy-crawly. Now and then, a solo sneaks out.
