Many of the songs on the other CCR's latest album sound like roots-heavy, country-rocking arena anthems (imagine if the Black Crowes were born in Nashville with larger trouser bulges), though this twangy testosterone punch gets sporadically softened by Lee Ann Womack's lovely voice. Throaty frontman Cody Canada's lyrics balance pensive passages of family life with party prose about indulging in various legal (and semi-legal) vices. The album also contains a hidden, up-tempo, acoustic track with lyrics that celebrate the realization of looking out for No. 1.
