I've Got You Under My Skin (Live)
Chris Botti sits in with the Boston Pops Orchestra on this simpatico live performance culled from a TV special and DVD. The set illustrates the secret of Botti's success: the pure tonal quality he achieves on the trumpet. Though he's influenced by Miles and Chet, his full, clean sound is closer to the legendary Clifford Brown. While Botti's fans are happy to just hear his pretty music (and it's delivered in spades), he sometimes throws in sonic surprises and star guests, including Sting, Yo-Yo Ma and John Mayer (who croons the Rodgers and Hart standard "Glad to Be Unhappy").
