This 1973 release followed Big Bambu to No. 2 on the pop charts (!) and remains their best work. Sargent Stadenko opens the platter, but the real tour de force is "Pedro and the Man At the Drive-In," an extended skit busting with drug culture idiocy and Hollywood parodies. Marin's "Basketball Jones" ends things on a delirious high and became a hit soul single.
