New York Times (Remastered 2002)
Label: Blue Note Records
Known as "the first lady of the flute," Bobbi Humphrey played with Dizzy Gillespie and Stevie Wonder, and was the first woman signed to Blue Note. Fusing jazz, funk and pop music, her unique sound shines through on this stellar LP from 1974. Spacey synths and wah-wah guitars add to the vibe, but her playing definitely takes center stage. Every song on here is awesome.
