For the Damaged Coda
Label: Touch And Go Records
The group's fifth album shows how far the band have come since their Sonic Youth-esque days. Sure, the strangulated guitars are there -- but this sound is a distinct one. "For The Damaged" is almost fragile, and the instrumentation widens -- as does the scope of the music. As their previous record began to attest to, Blonde Redhead can no longer be written off.
