I Want The World... And Everything In It
Label: Nuclear Blast
Blonde-bombshell-fronted power metallers seemingly named for Hasbro action figures, these Finns of course aim for anthemic melodrama, though their song lengths never get too out of hand. "I Want the World ... And Everything in It" opens echoing the Stooges' "Search and Destroy," while "Speed and Danger" kicks off thrashing, but sustaining that energy isn't their long suit. They toss in a few snoozy schmaltz ballads, too, and a souped-up potential big-budget movie instrumental called "Hero's Quest." But what stands out most is the '80s Branigan/Benatar electro-romance of "Touch in the Night."
