Like most forest-folk metallers, this married-couple-centered Russian quintet sounds most engaging when they let the wild pagan rumpus start, notably in speed-goth fiddle stomp "Na Strazhe Novyh Let" and amid the wolves, chains and woodwinds of "Ved'ma." Elsewhere, traditional instruments emit electronic-sounding pulses while slithering reptiles and scampering rodents engage in a heated discussion beside burning debris. The final two-tracks-in-20-minutes present a nightmare you can't escape, until rabbinical voices undulate their way out á la the Specials in "Ghost Town."
