Released:
Label: Spinefarm
When the world's oldest black-metal thrashers stop just trying to be frightening and throw "a party with the demons down below," they markedly pick up speed: Biker gangs may well be blasting "The Death of Rock N Roll," "Grinding Teeth" and "Long Haired Punks" (which rhymes with "so full of spunk" and "no hip-hop or funk"!) as we speak, and closer "Rise" makes for a rousing crowd shout-along. Other tracks resort to mechanical grinding or curdling plod while blaspheming about crucifixion and stigmata. In "Evil Law," seemingly backward-masked babbling trails bubbling brooks of Stygian lava.
