Released:
Label: The Bicycle Music Company
Though this compilation is largely hit or miss, it is ambitious in its repurposing of classic Delicious Vinyl hip-hop as modern club music. Hearing Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" filtered through the electro trash lens of Peaches is more interesting than enjoyable, and Fatlip's frail and funny "What's Up Fatlip" needed no improvement, but, on the flip, Eminem's remix of Masta Ace's "Slaughterhouse" is revealing considering the influence Ace had on Em's style, and Aaron LaCrate's reimagining of "Jeep Ass Gutter" as B-More club music is clever.
