The shiny world of The OC rubs elbows with serious hipsters on Covering Our Tracks, a CD devoted to up-and-coming indie bands doing classics or soon-to-be-classic gems. Rock Kills Kid ably renders Spoon's "I Turn My Camera On," and there are plenty of other nice surprises here, including Lady Sovereign's X-Ray Spex-esque take on the Sex Pistols' "Pretty Vacant" and Rogue Wave's smoothed-out version of the Pixie's "Debaser."
