About The Tossers

The Tossers combine rabble-rousing political hardcore with besotted Celtic rock, giving new meaning to the term "fighting Irish." If ex-Pogues singer Shane MacGowan ever decided to return to his street-punk origins, The Tossers could be his backing band. The six-piece outfit formed in Chicago, Ill., in the early '90s. The band has attracted a devoted cult following thanks to tours with Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Murphy's Law and the Reverend Horton Heat; more than a dozen albums and compilation appearances; and a growing dedication to raucous Irish music (read: they have a tin whistle player). They signed with Victory Records in 2005.
