Released:
Label: Polyvinyl Records
Compared to the glitch-pop experimentation of Sound On Sound, this brief EP is decidedly more ambient and acoustic, opening with the looping tape sounds of "Cold Colors" and moving into "Drink My Blood," a bitter breakup tune with the fingerprints of young Marc Bolan all over it. Similarly, the handful of acoustic tunes that follow have a dark heart and well-crafted metaphors before ending with the final sprawl of "Spiderbite" -- the EP's most complex tune, and the most rewarding.
