A Bay Area band who never quite fit in with the "Bay Area sound," Samiam weren't pop enough for some; for others, they weren't hardcore enough. Between the two, however, Samiam have found a niche of their own and built an unmistakable sound. Misfits within a collective scene of misfits, Samiam have a tough growl woven into their music, but it's not without its strong, catchy edge. Double guitars lunge for your throat -- one follows the rhythm section while the other cuts like a clean saw. Over it all, Jason Beebout's energetic, urgent vocals soar and scream like a fighter jet ripping across a perfect blue sky.
