Robert Schneider, resident genius of Apples in Stereo, turns his laser beam to the unexplored regions of children's music and comes up with -- unsurprisingly -- a charming record. It wouldn't exist, of course, without the Beach Boys, whose ghosts seem to surf through just about every song. That's a good thing, as are the songs about superheroes, gravity, and elephants and ducks. Fans will be glad to know this is just the jumping-off point for a Nickelodeon series about Robbert Bobbert, an inventor who makes utterly useless things and incidentally teaches a little math in the process.
