These Swedes do the dazed-and-confused trick of turning stoner-rock toughness into sexy dance moves better than Monster Magnet have in years. Excellent forward motion and mega-riffage make up for the movie-soundtrack orchestrations, and though the mid-Easternisms of "Forever Begins Today" is kind of corny, it packs a sweet melody anyway. The choral symphony closing out the ending epic "The End" is cool too, but the beginning is even cooler: it starts as art-rock that really rocks, somehow recalling Led Zep without actually sounding like them, and then it turns into a sort of piano bar croon.
