Label: Michael W Smith
Marking a six-year break between worship releases, Sovereign also marks a label change for Michael W. Smith. In keeping with that "new" theme, new collaborators include Seth Mosley and Kyle Lee, who co-wrote "Miracle," the pop-rock anthem that sets the tone for the album. Lee and Mosley also produce, along with Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Carrie Underwood) and Jeremy Edwardson. The result is an effort that harks back to Smith's pop projects from the '80s and '90s as much as it charts a new course. Don't miss "The One That Really Matters," featuring Kari Jobe.
