More than a few fans dismissed 2010's Come Around Sundown as too frilly and chill in an adult alternative kind of way. Apparently, Kings of Leon thought so, too. Its follow-up, Mechanical Bull, is certainly a "turn back the clock" effort. Nearly every track is a wiry groover recalling pre-Because of the Times Kings, back when they were more of a sassy garage act. "Don't Matter" sums it up perfectly, especially when Caleb Followill snarls, "I could f*ck, or I could fight. It don't matter to me." Well, at least he's got his swagger back.
