About In Camera
In Camera were a short-lived (1979-81) Post-Punk group notable for their clanging guitar tones and start/stop rhythms. Michael Allen's whining, exhausted vocals had the haunting, echoing vocal style John Lydon had perfected on Public Image Limited's first two releases. Never particularly singled out or lionized by critics, the band broke up and guitar player Andrew Gray went on to join the Wolfgang Press. Former Unrest leader and Teenbeat founder Marc Robinson gave the group a wider audience by releasing a collection of all the band's work, including some updated material, in 1995.
