Sinatra tackles Oscar-winning tunes with the great Nelson Riddle. Overall, this doesn't stand up as one of Sinatra's greater album efforts because it plays like a collection of songs rather than a unified emotional work. That said, he sings beautifully throughout, and it does contain one true classic that everybody on Earth should know by heart -- "The Way You Look Tonight." That standard is definitive and is up there with the finest work of either Frank or Nels' careers. Sinatra also sings a couple of Henry Mancini/Johnny Mercer tunes, including a sumptuous "Moon River" and an upbeat swing version of the typically suicidal "Days of Wine and Roses."
