About Estefano

Estefano's story comprises equal parts talent and luck. He moved to Miami from Colombia in the early 1990s, but he didn't struggle for long: after Emilio Estefan discovered him, Estefano quickly found himself writing songs for Gloria Estefan's 1994 Spanish-language release Mi Tierra. The success of that project led to gigs writing songs for the biggest names in Latin pop -- Shakira, Chayanne and Paulina Rubio among them. In 2005, Estefano decided to strike out on his own, throwing caution to the wind and singing his own songs for once.
