Released:
Label: eOne Music
On this D.C. quintet's seventh album in 11 years, the biggest surprise might be how commercial some of the music sounds: bordering on radio-ready screamo in songs like "Love As A Weapon" and "Beyond The Life You Know," with straight-ahead rock drumming in "Severed Into Separates," and fairly tuneful axe solos everywhere. "Man & Swine" starts as a slamdance tantrum, but eventually turns to semi-classical thrash motifs, ritual chants and martial beats. Add gloomy short and long instrumental bookends "Terra Nocturnus" and "Terra Solaris," and this isn't exactly your typical deathcore cage-match.
