Bryson "Cupid" Bernard is mostly known as a one-hit wonder, thanks to his R&B dance hit "Cupid Shuffle." But the Lafayette, La., singer has long claimed the title King of Down South R&B. Cupid enjoyed a local following from his independently released albums before his 2007 single "Cupid Shuffle" became a regional hit. Atlantic Records issued Time for a Change, commissioned "Cupid Shuffle" remixes from dance producers like The Scumfrog, and paired him with other label stars like Aubrey O'Day from Danity Kane (for "Do Yo Dance") and B.o.B (for "369"). By 2010, Cupid was back on his independent grind, issuing new singles like "Do My Ladies Run This Party" for his down South fans.
