Crossfade may play hyper-melodic nu-metal but thankfully they don't forget to bring along the nasty guitar riffs. A few Chris Cornell-isms during choruses don't hurt either. Following up their mega-selling self-titled debut, the now three-piece (after the departure of DJ/singer Tony Byroads) continues in a similar vein as that record, doling out hearty, grunge-inflected rock music. The interesting thing is that, amid all the Sturm und Drang, a closer listen to the lyrics reveals these to be somewhat sensitive dudes.
