Swedish death/grind outfit Coldworker formed after a series of fateful events in early 2006. Following the breakup of Nasum with the death of vocalist Mieszko Talarczyk in 2005, drummer Anders Jakobson posted a blog on the defunct band's website looking for musicians to start a new project with. From there, he was contacted by guitarist Anders Bertilsson and bassist Oskar Palsson, and with the later addition of vocalist Joel Fornbrant and a second guitarist (duties now handled by Daniel Schroder), Coldworker was born. Wasting no time writing, rehearsing and playing shows, Coldworker quickly signed a deal with Relapse and released their debut The Contaminated Void later that year. Pegged a Swedish metal supergroup, with members linked to Relentless and Ruin, these death/grind veterans continue to forge their crushing sound with 2008's Rotting Paradise.
