Cloud Nothings is not surprisingly the product of a teenager, and we mean that in the best way possible. Young Ohioan Dylan Baldi's second album is punchy, punky and plucky; at under 30 minutes, it's no longer than your average sitcom, but it packs in all the restlessness of an adolescent bred on early Green Day and fellow Ohioans Guided By Voices. Quick-twitch rhythms and jangly guitar keep the energy high. Baldi is so breathless at times his words come out in stutters, and with lines like "I don't have a heartbeat, why do you?" you can't help but feel the power of his youth and conviction.
