While this second record from the Welsh four-piece offers the machine-gun burst guitars, growl-screams and pretty vocal harmonies that place it among the most modern of modern metal, it's the opening seconds of "Hearts Burst Into Fire" that show the kids were paying attention in 1985. The fact that they were wearing diapers at the time is of little consequence, really -- what matters is Matt Tuck and Padge Paget can really play their guitars, and they do, at high speed, with so many lead ribbons crammed into every corner you don't even notice the melodic parts. "Disappear" is a real workout.
