About Bobby Pinson
Texan (by way of Tulsa) Bobby Pinson grew up listening to the music of outlaws and country rockers. The son of scholastically involved parents, Pinson took a teenage liking to artists such as Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, but he claims that his knack for narrative was inspired by the children's poetry books of Shel Silverstein. After serving time in the U.S. Army, Pinson followed his heartland dreams to Nashville in 1996 and landed a publishing deal with Sony in 1999. His songs were covered on various works by a good handful of Music City chart toppers, but he didn't debut his own album until 2005.
