Ohio's gleefully polarizing crabcore pioneers toughen up on their third album, toning down the dancefloor squiggles, the better to bludgeon you with blast-beat dirges, lacerating guitar squalls and some primo throat shredding from frontman Caleb Shomo. (Still, the wobbly bloops of "The Reality" will thrill Skrillex fans.) The song titles suggest a militaristic apocalypse, but don't get too bummed out that we end on "The Eradication": "I'm never gonna give up hope!" and "I can't be stopped!" are typical throat-shredding sentiments. The album cover is ill advised when viewed from a distance.
