Released:
Label: Alien8 Recordings
Released in 2002, Electric Heavyland at first seems like a Temple album you can handle -- standard guitar-drums-keyboard set up, semi-discernible main riffs. But around 11 minutes into "Atomic Rotary Grinding God," the wheels just come off -- screaming, echoing psychedelic freakery. Next thing you know, the stuttering, disoriented half riff of "Loved and Confused" starts and, well, you are now toast. Mainliner may have been heavier and the Boredoms may be more dynamic, but no one gets as far out as Acid Mother's Temple.
