Nuclear Blast released this collection of demos in 2005, something of an act of closure for critically acclaimed but defunct psychedelic doom metal band Acid Bath. The band's trademark mixture of strangely marketable melodies and lyrics about drugs amid a hail of NOLA metal riffs is very much evident, as is their proclivity for messing with the parameters of people's expectations for them (see an early version of "Scream of the Butterfly"). The best thing about Acid Bath is that they could have been huge if they didn't write songs like "Dr. Seuss Is Dead" and "Dope Fiend."
